2009 will be the first year Baggy's have offered surf equipment for hire. However, Mike (owner and manager of Baggy's) has been living and surfing in Croyde for 4 years, been surfing for over 30 years and is a member of the BSA and Christian Surfers UK. He is also a qualified BSA Surfing Judge.

Mike understands the local surf breaks, tides and currents well and will always ensure that you hire the appropriate equipment (including no equipment if it is not in your best interest) and will brief you on the general conditions with an update for the day as well as beach and surf safety.

Baggy's has purchased for the 2009 season a full selection of sizes of Alder 4/3 Stealth wet suits, gloves, boots and hoods, Alder Body Boards, BIC G "soft top" Boards and EComp epoxy boards in a range of sizes and styles. All our equipment is fully maintained and replaced if it's getting tired - you will never be offered equipment more than 3 years old.

Competitive prices for surfboard & wetsuit hire

Our rates are competitive and we are one of the only two hire facilities that offer equipment right at Croyde Beach (100m walk to the slipway) and the only one with a view of the entire beach and surf break at any point of the tide. Also if you are off to Putsborough or Saunton to surf, we will give you and your equipment a lift for free and pick you up later.
